FROM NOTHING TO FOUNDATIONS
A young boy growing up in Talking Rock, Georgia, taught by his mama the meaning of strength and shaped by his daddy’s resilience, began a story that continues to inspire today. To understand Stanley Contracting, you have to know Randy Stanley, our founder—a man forged in the time-honored ethos of hard work, unwavering commitment, honest dealings, and callused hands from a young age.
Today, Stanley Contracting is a living testament to those values, reflecting Randy’s life lessons, hardships, and relentless pursuit of purpose.
Randy’s humble beginnings echo the classic heartland story. Long days cutting firewood, toting logs by hand, and working until dark without ever laying his head on a pillow. After his boyhood passed, life brought trials that would break most people. He faced homelessness, poverty, and isolation. But it was during those days that Randy found his greatest strength. With an entrepreneurial spirit and an unshakable faith in God, he launched a landscaping business in 2002—starting with nothing but a push mower in the trunk of a borrowed car.
One yard turned into a business, and that business became the foundation he would use to chase the dream he’d always held close: owning an excavation company.
He once told his daddy, Johnny, “I want to own an excavation business.”
His daddy looked at him and said, “If anyone can do it, you can.”
And so, Randy got to work—one job after another. Customers didn’t just fall in love with the quality of his work—they fell in love with Randy Stanley, the man. A humble, kind-hearted, gentle giant who treats every project like it’s his own land and every client like family.

A NEW VENTURE
In a twist of fate, the winds shifted, and Randy stepped fully into the exhilarating world of construction—uncharted, demanding, and full of promise.
The stage was set. Randy, a boy from Talking Rock who once had nothing, began building a small grading company with consistency and perseverance. Along the way, he met a strawberry blonde from Marble Hill. Not just your typical Georgia peach—Casey, now his wife, came from deep native roots and a long-standing career in real estate.
In 2020, they combined their talents, experience, and vision to found Stanley Contracting. As their family grew, so did the business. From pulling into a Ford dealership in Jasper, Georgia, in a utility truck with no brakes, to pulling out with a brand-new black F-250—they began marking their map and leaving their imprint on North Georgia’s construction industry.
In just two years, Stanley Contracting grew from a small operation to a $1 million company, rivaling numbers of the biggest names in the area. Every customer is treated like family, and every job is done with the same level of care they’d give their own home.

RESILIENCE, PERSEVERANCE & GROWTH
Despite the successes—including partnerships with companies like Walmart and leading large residential projects—life threw a devastating curveball. In 2023, Randy suffered a stress-induced stroke. Casey found him late one night in the yard lying beside one of the work trucks. This wasn’t just a hurdle for Stanley Contracting—it was a life-altering event for Randy, Casey, and their five children.
But adversity often brings clarity. Randy leaned harder into his unshakable faith and showed even deeper love for his God and his family. The same time-tested values that got him through his lowest points now became the strength that sustained the company through its toughest one.
So what does the future look like for Stanley Contracting?
It shines bright with the light of resilience, determination, and a dream that never faded. That same dream Randy once saw standing at his childhood home in Talking Rock is alive and in motion.
The trials that would have broken most people only fortified Randy’s heart, deepened his passion, and strengthened his commitment to his customers, his team, his family, and most of all—the Lord above.
There were days when Casey would look at Randy and say, “How are we going to make it, Stanley? How are we going to make it this week?”
And Randy would look at her and answer,
“God’s going to take care of us.”
Today, Stanley Contracting stands stronger than ever, with a projected ROI that reflects faith-backed perseverance and a foundation built not just for profit—but for legacy. A legacy for their six children to one day carry on.

Loyal, sharp, and always ten steps ahead, Joe is the steady hand in the storm, the calm in the chaos, and the one who helps carry the weight when it gets heavy.
Joe has stood by Casey and Randy Stanley through the highs, the heartbreaks, the hard lessons, and the come-ups. He's the voice of reason, the organizer of the madness, and the one who sees what needs to be done and does it without being asked. With a no-nonsense work ethic, a whole lot of grit, and a heart that rides with loyalty he's the reason a million moving pieces come together and actually work.

And now, he's in it with us not just working, but showing up like someone who understands what it means to carry the name with pride.
Dependable, hardworking, and always willing to jump in wherever he's needed, Brandon is the guy you want in your corner when the job gets tough.
He doesn't have to be told twice, and he's never above the dirty work because he was raised around grit, and he's earned every ounce of respect he's got.
To us, he's not just Joe's son he's one of ours.

We're proud to announce that we've officially started offering internships for students who want to learn trade work, gain real-world experience, and be mentored by a team that's passionate about building futures, not just buildings.
Our very first intern is someone truly special Parks Odom.
An All-American athlete, an outstanding student, and most importantly, a child of God, Parks represents the heart of what this program is all about: character, potential, and purpose.
Our hope is that one day this program grows into something even bigger including scholarship opportunities for local youth who want to step into the trades with the same drive and faith that built our company.
We're honored to pour into young people like Parks, and proud to say: this is just the beginning.
